OFFER: Pine and Glass Dining Table

OFFER Pine and Glass Table (Gordon Park)

This is my old dining table.

Lacquered pine with dark glass top. 153cm long x 92cm wide x 76cm high.

Very good structurally.

The glass has chips in two opposite corners, but this does not really affect usability. Glass pops out, which makes it easier to move around. The glass is HEAVY so moving it is really a two person task.

Still a very useful table, which I have been using as a desk.

RECYCLED: Panasonic CD Player

RECYCLED: Panasonic CD player

Panasonic Portable CD Player SL-XP300.

Museum Quality piece! Not working :(
For freecycle is my Panasonic portable CD player. In fantastic cosmetic condition, but I just checked and it will not fire up on either batteries or 240v supply, which is disappointing as it was working when it went into storage.

In 1990 this model was well regarded by audiophile magazines which is why I selected it. Features 8x oversampling, and the sound was described as "bright and airy" if my memory serves me well.

I purchased this new in 1990 and it was a faithful companion for many years, although most of the time it was hooked up to my lounge room stereo, and not used mobile. It has been in storage for about the last 7 years so it is time to pass it to someone who will appreciate it. At 24 years old it must nearly qualify as vintage, so I imagine this is one for the collector of old hi-fi gear.

Included is player, original earphones with in-line remote (used, no foam covers), original power pack, original packaging, and original documents including sales receipt, delivery note, warranty card and user instructions. Cassette adaptor is not included.

A great find if you are a collector. Just note: there is some power supply issue and the player will not start up.

But it's free!

TAKEN: Ricoh Super8 Movie Camera (Gordon Park)

TAKEN: Ricoh Super8 movie camera. Model 420Z

This is the old family movie camera. I think my mum purchased it in 1975, although other information indicates this may have been 1976.

The camera presents well but is untested, and unused for at least twenty five years. I think I shot the last roll of film c1982.
Has a lanyard. Lens cover is missing.
The instruction manual, warranty card, and one developing return envelope are included.

The carry case is falling apart unfortunately, and appears to have been home to many cockroaches. It would be a BIG effort to restore the case.

TAKEN: Brass Eveready Flashlight

Well here's something that might make an unusual gift. It's something you cannot buy in Australia, and is probably out of production.

This brand new Eveready Flashlight was gifted to me by a former employer. This particular model is a classic, and has been on sale forever. At the time this was still an extremely popular product in India, where flashlights are still widely used in rural areas. They are correctly called "flashlights" as you flash the light on and off to conserve expensive batteries. It has a candle feature, hanging ring, and requires 3x D cell batteries (not included). It is made of brass plated pressed metal, and has never been out of the packaging.

Please see pics for details.

Pick up from Gordon Park 4031

TAKEN: Cassettes and Cabinets

Offering my old collection of blank cassettes, used in the 80s and early 90s. Mostly good quality Normal or Chrome tapes. I have listened to all of these quite recently, and most are good enough to reuse, or you can  think of it as an instant dodgy 80s collection.

They are in two cabinets. Each cabinet holds 51x Single and 3x Double cassettes.

Pickup from Gordon Park 4031.

TAKEN Original Artist Cassettes

Available are the Original Artist cassettes as shown in pics below.
Not all play very well so these will be for a collector or other project.
Note: XTC and AC-DC there are sleeves ONLY no cassette.
Pickup from Gordon Park 4031.

TAKEN: Classical Music Tapes

Available is my Mum's collection of original Cassette tapes of Classical Music, Popular classics. See pics at link below for listing.

I have partly listened to all of these in the past two weeks.
Some are amazing quality recordings, especially considering a) they are on cassette, and b) they are 30+ years old.
Most are in good playable condition.
Four run at inconsistent speed, but they might run OK on a better quality player.

Included is a cassette storage cabinet in rough condition. No commercial value I should think.

There are also some New Age type cassettes offered separately, if you are interested.

Pickup from Gordon Park 4031.

TAKEN: New Age Relaxation Self Help Tapes

Offering Relaxation, New Age-ish and Self Help tapes, as shown in pics below. These were my Mum's but I have no use for them.

All are original recordings.

I have not listened to all of these so cannot vouch for the condition.

Pickup from Gordon Park, 4031

TAKEN: Car Compact Kenwood Amplifiers

I found these two compact amps and associated wiring under my car's passenger footwell carpet!

They are Kenwood Kodels KAC 520 and 521. I don't know what the set-up was or how it all goes together  as any head unit/stacker/subs/speakers had been removed when I acquired the car.

Condition is unknown, but they don't seem to have any watermarks or visible damage. On of the associated boxes does have clear water exposure... My footwell shows signs of being damp in the past, but not awash. Underfelt was all pretty good.

Anyway they are free to anyone who wants to have a play with them. Pickup early next week. Please nominate a time when you can pickup.

WANTED: Remote Control

I am looking for a replacement remote control for my PVR model DVX555U . Maybe you have retired a similar unit recently?

Pics below show exactly what I am looking for, and the PVR it belongs to.

Thanks

TAKEN: Cabinet Hardware

Now gone to recycle bin.
Offering one bag of cabinet hardware, as shown in the photo below. I think there is enough for 4 standard cabinet doors.

Pickup Sunday preferred.

TAKEN: Possum Box

Possum Box

As shown in photos below. My friend made this. I think it is to Victoria Parks and Wildlife recommendations. It is made of ply, painted grey (as you can see!).

The idea of the box is that it replicates a tree hollow, which are all long gone from suburbia.
It is intended to go into a large tree, which I do not have, so I will not be using it.

Sorry about the crappy photo.

Pickup Sunday preferred.
