RECYCLED: Panasonic CD Player

RECYCLED: Panasonic CD player

Panasonic Portable CD Player SL-XP300.

Museum Quality piece! Not working :(
For freecycle is my Panasonic portable CD player. In fantastic cosmetic condition, but I just checked and it will not fire up on either batteries or 240v supply, which is disappointing as it was working when it went into storage.

In 1990 this model was well regarded by audiophile magazines which is why I selected it. Features 8x oversampling, and the sound was described as "bright and airy" if my memory serves me well.

I purchased this new in 1990 and it was a faithful companion for many years, although most of the time it was hooked up to my lounge room stereo, and not used mobile. It has been in storage for about the last 7 years so it is time to pass it to someone who will appreciate it. At 24 years old it must nearly qualify as vintage, so I imagine this is one for the collector of old hi-fi gear.

Included is player, original earphones with in-line remote (used, no foam covers), original power pack, original packaging, and original documents including sales receipt, delivery note, warranty card and user instructions. Cassette adaptor is not included.

A great find if you are a collector. Just note: there is some power supply issue and the player will not start up.

But it's free!
